Manstoppers Dog Training - MSK9

Everyone has different needs for their beloved canines. Accordingly, we offer several different packages or one on one individual assistance for dogs who are in need of behavior modification. Many of us rely on our dogs for home protection, but how many of our dogs would REALLY protect if the time ever did come? A barking dog alone does not make a guard dog, even insecure dogs will bark.

I have had the honor of learning from some of the best trainers in the world. Being from Northern California gave me a distinction as far as geography is concerned. Many world class trainers exist within a few hours of each other giving me the opportunity to learn from several different perspectives. I have traveled the United States and several European Countries, allowing me to learn from others. I was able to work/evaluate many dogs of many different breeds along the way. I learned many different methods, which I have blended and adapted into my own technique. The same method doesn't work on every dog. Every dog is a individual and needs to be treated as such. We evaluate your dog and train it based on it's individual needs.

I have trained in several different venues. This makes me a well rounded Trainer and Decoy. Sport work is far from my only experience, I excel in true protection work also. I am very well balanced on both suit and sleeve. I have worked/evaluated over 100 badged K-9s. As a result of my experience and commitment I have learned to master animal psychology to achieve high levels of protection, behavior modification and obedience. When you communicate the way the canine mind understands, the results are extremely effective.

You may be wondering, what is behavior modification??? The answer is in the question itself.. Many different behavior issues exist within breeds. There are many different triggers that contribute to these issues. The majority of the problems are due to the owners however some behavior issues are genetic. Some of these issues include being insecure/timid, overly aggressive, full of drive/hyper etc.

We offer free evaluations of your animal/s before we accept any dogs for training. We will discuss your needs and issues and offer you a realistic evaluation and discuss a program designed to fit your situation. Should you require evaluation in your environment cost is determined on a case by case basis. if your dog will never be what you would like us to make it, we will not accept the dog into our program. If we do see the potential you will receive the dog of your dreams from us. Whatever your dream is, we specialize in Personal Protection but we also offer Sport Training (ie. Schutzhund, Ring Sport, BST, Iron Dog etc.), Tracking (drug, bomb, cadaver etc.), Service Dogs, Hollywood training etc.

We specialize in the Bull breeds... But we are familiar with all "working breeds" and are qualified to train and evaluate any breed. We network with world class working kennels and trainers from around the globe. If we don't have a dog/pup you like... we will help you to acquire a superior canine that fits your individual needs. From a home pet and guardian, to a fully trained Police K9 ready for duty. You don't have to have a badge to have a dog fully protection trained like a well trained canine officer.

We have several dogs available of several different breeds with full protection packages. We can also foster a young pup of your liking from start to finish for you. Our services are available even if you acquire the dog from another source.

MSK9 OB (Basic Obedience) = $1000

Basic obedience consists of a sit, down, stay, down and stay in motion, heal, and a recall. We will train the dogs to do it all... but it is up to you to learn to handle your dog in order to maintain their commands. Teaching one main handler is included, household members will receive a basic seminar and demonstration. Additional handler's cost is determined on a case by case basis. We also offer off-leash obedience for another 500$

MSK9 I = $2500

This package includes basic obedience. The main part of this package is bringing suspicion into your dog. There's no having a true guard dog without having any suspicion. Purchasing a "guard dog" alone does not guarantee your dog will react when it should. As a "TRUE" protection dog will know when and how to react. We teach them to guard on command.. and to be real about it. Again.. in the evaluation we will know if it is possible to do with your individual dog. Your dog will also learn how to protect in the house as well as out of the house. It is one thing to have a dog that protects his yard/house... but they should also be capable of guarding you when you are in social situation... all while being civilized enough to be let loose of a playground... This is a skill that should NEVER be done by inexperienced people. Teaching a dog how to become a protection dog should be left to the pros... that's where we come in!!! This package does not include any bite work.

MSK9 II = $3500

This package includes all of what is offered in MSK9 I but in this package we pick it up a notch. In this package your dog is introduced to the sleeve. We will do all of the foundation work on suit or sleeve. We will also teach your dog the out command. This command is mandatory on any dog that is taught to bite. At this point you would be well on your way to not only a great PP (Personal protection)dog but also a great "sport" dog. Many people enjoy trialling their dogs in the many dog sports available. It is a great hobby for the serious enthusiasts.

MSK9 III = $4500

This package includes all of what is offered in MSK9 II but in this package we also include a bark and hold.. A bark and hold is a great tool to use for sport or real life. At this point your dog is pretty much on the level of a well trained police dog. I say well trained because many "police dogs" aren't worth the badge they wear... but that's another story... We also include a video of your doing everything it was trained to do.. with or without the music of your choice.. To keep as a momentum, to see what your dog has learned with us, to place on your web site etc. We offer this (video) with all of our packages. For this package the dogs are also taught everything off leash....

MSK9 Ultimate Package = $7000

With this package you get all of the what is offered in MSK9 III though we take it even a few steps further. With this package we include any one of the different tracking abilities, bomb detection, cadaver, drug and search and rescue. This is for anyone from the SERIOUS enthusiasts to the highest end Military/Police. These prices DO NOT include the dogs. The price of the dog is based on several different elements. Looks, achievements, pedigree etc. is all all taken into consideration when pricing a high end canine from MSK9.
