Artificial Insemination

How many of you have had experience withe artificial insemination?It's 90+ degrees here in sunny Florida,one of my girls I've been waiting to breed do to other circumstances is in full heat. It's too hot for them to be out side and with 3 other AB's in the house I've decided to AI.I've done a lot of hands on vet work but never this. Any helpful hints?

Thanks! I haven't seen the lab one.That was full of info..Her LH level has been up,we've done it twice so far,once more tonight,she's still showing strong possitive,but he's nor she is so interested now,but her levels are still very high.Check my web site...it's Sol and Luna

I've done it with pretty good success... just take your time, I usally hold the male till the swelling goes back down that way I make sure and get as much as I can, and like wise when putting in the female take your time if it took 15-20 minutes to get it out of the male take 15-20 minutes putting it in and then take the syringe out (leaving tube in) and fill the syringe with air then connect it back to the tube and push it in slowly to make sure you get it all in her.. and while your putting it in the female be holding up her back end and even afterwards hold her up for a while then put her in a create for aleast 1.2 hr so she don't ge pee...
